The B-Line Brass Quintet is a chamber ensemble which formed in 2024 at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Members CJ Waldrop, Freddie Poor, Cameron McCarty, Angus Tsui, and Clayton Frank are among the conservatory’s leading brass musicians. The group has received weekly coaching from professors Lawrence Isaacson, former member of Empire Brass, and Ken Amis, founding member of Empire Brass. During their first semester together, B-Line Brass earned a spot in the Boston Conservatory Gen Z Honors Chamber Recital. In December, the group made their professional debut with the Pipes of Christmas concert at Old South Church. B-Line Brass is excited to present a greater Boston tour this spring, with works by J.S. Bach, Leonard Bernstein, Astor Piazzolla, Catherine McMichael, and more.
